HE hath sent forth, bright, radiant, and refulgent his far-spreading lustre.
Pure in his splendour shines the golden Hero: our longing thoughts hath he aroused and wakened.
He, like the Sun, hath shone while Morn is breaking, and monks who weave the offering sing praises, Agni, who knows their generations and visits Devas, most bounteous, rapid envoy.
Our songs and holy hymns go forth to Agni, seeking the Deva, him fair to see, of heroic nature, mighty, men's messenger who carries their oblations.
Joined with the Devas, Agni, bring thou Indra bring hither mighty Soma with the Somas, Aditi good to all men with Δdityas.
Men eagerly implore at offers Agni, most Youthful Deva, the joyous Herald. For he is Lord and Ruler over riches, and for Devasβ praise and adoration.
